At Code42, Giving Back Is Part of Our Culture

One of the foundational values of Code42 is to leave the world a better place. In pursuit of that lofty goal, Code42 employees are dedicated to supporting the communities that support us in our personal and professional lives. Many of our employees volunteer individually to the organizations that matter most to them. Some departments choose to volunteer in groups, in order to bond as a team while servicing our communities. No matter which way they choose to volunteer, we encourage each and every employee to do so. That’s why Code42 is proud to offer every employee two paid volunteer days, which they can use to give back to the charity or non-profit organization of their choice.

The Code42 HR team recently spent an entire day partnering with two local organizations, Second Harvest Heartland and Bridging.

Second Harvest Heartland works tirelessly to support people in the Twin Cities metro who are risk of being hungry. As one of the nation’s largest and most efficient food banks, Second Harvest Heartland collects and distributes food through various programs and services. The HR team worked with other volunteers to sort, weigh, and process food that will be distributed throughout the metro area. We’re proud to say that we helped pack 53,530 pounds of food – a record for the organization for our volunteer size!

Located in Bloomington, Bridging works to reuse donated items to improve the lives of those transitioning out of homelessness and poverty. Our team worked on a project to process and sort blankets to be distributed to local families in need.
